He is the host and executive producer of Sports Monday, a weekly live TV show that he started from scratch in September 1995. The graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale had previous newspaper stops in Hannibal, Mo., Kansas City, MO., and Winston-Salem, NC, before coming to Baton Rouge in 1984. As a sportswriter for The Advocate, Lee covered all things LSU, Southern and Baton Rouge and was named the 1987 and 1996 Louisiana Sports Writers Association Columnist of the Year. He left the daily newspaper business in 1998 but continues to write extensively, especially about LSU sports. Before joining BBI he wrote for Tiger Rag and is a contributor to USA Today, Baton Rouge magazine 225, and other media outlets around the country.
