Roy Mongrue III "Trey" has been employed in various capacities with BayouBengalsInsider.com since November of 2008.

In the time Trey has been in the profession, he has shown his versatility, covering the three major LSU sports, but with his main focuses on Baseball.

Mongrue was born and raised in Baton Rouge. He is a graduate of Catholic High School and is currently working on a Mass Communications degree with a concentration in Electronic Media at Southeastern Louisiana University College of Journalism.

Mongrue has had a strong connection with LSU athletics dating back to his youth. That passion inspired him to take up this career. He strives to accurately and efficiently give his readers the best information and hopes to do it for a very long time.

Besides LSU, Mongrue is a fan of the New Orleans Saints, Hornets, and the Atlanta Braves.
