Junior wide receiver Jarvis Landry on the Alabama game…

I’m excited for the challenge. I’m excited for another traditional game, another rivalry game that will go in the record books forever.

Landry on the Alabama secondary…

Nobody is invincible. No team is invincible. No defense in invincible. They do a lot of great things well. We do a lot of great things well, also. It comes down to individual guys making plays, and that’s what this game will be all about.

Junior linebacker D.J. Welter on the Alabama offensive line…

Their offensive line is big and physical. It’s the same this year. It hasn’t changed that much over the past couple of years since I’ve been here. We’re looking forward to it. It’s going to be a physical fight. The defensive line, the linebackers, the front seven, we’re ready to roll.

Welter on Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron…

He’s definitely good at hitting spots. He’s got some big time receivers, some big time playmakers to hit. Pretty much every time they need a play on third and long, he seems to come up with it. We’ve got to be ready for him. He’s been tested in big games year after year, so this is just another one for him. We might have to bring some extra pressure or do something to keep him off balance.

Junior defensive tackle Ego Ferguson on the LSU defense…

I feel like we play the best when a lot of people are doubting us. I feel like they’re trying to motivate us. We’re going to come out ready this week.

Ferguson on the energy in the building for Alabama week…

This is like an Ali-Foreman fight. Every time we play these two, you get their best shot. Every time we play Bama, there’s an intensity you don’t see in any other game.

Junior wide receiver Odell Beckham on playing in Bryant-Denny Stadium…

It was my freshman year, and my favorite things about it was watching their pregame videos. I think it was a bunch of big hits, and every time a big hit would come up the crowd would just go, ‘ooo’, it was giving me chills. It was exciting to be a part of, and I’m looking forward to it again.

Sophomore cornerback Jalen Mills on Alabama’s offense…

We have seven guys up front there to stop the run for a reason. If they do play action pass, us DBs just have to keep our eyes on our guys. If you’re not in run support, don’t come up in run support. Stay on your man. You have to have your eyes in the right position. If you don’t, then they can gash you.

Senior linebacker Lamin Barrow on the nature of these games…

It’s just a street fight. The best man is going to win at the end of the game. In years past we’ve been very physical, and we’ve played them hard every year. The last couple of games we’ve given them the game of their lives and we’ve just come up a little short. We’ve just got to try to outplay them.

Barrow on the ‘underdog role’ motivating the team…

Of course. I’ve said it before, I feel like we’ve been underdogs even before the season. People have been counting us out. We’ve responded pretty well. Of course, we’ve got two losses on the season that we’d die t oget back, but going into this game we know we’re underdogs. We embrace it.
