Sophomore OL La’El Collins on breaking down the Florida film: “We just about the missed assignments, everything we know that we’re capable of and everything that we can fix. We definitely overemphasize it every day in practice, especially this week. (South Carolina) is in the SEC, and they’ve got some good guys up front. Their defense is fundamentally sound, and we know that we have to do everything we can to protect.”

Collins on breakdowns in the Florida game: “It’s small things when you play in an away stadium. A lot of times you can’t hear the guy beside you, and you might have to relay the play to him, and you might not get it off at a certain time. That’s the disadvantage the away team has, and we kept (the Florida crowd) in the game the whole time”

Junior LB Lamin Barrow on Saturday’s environment, game: “It’s going to be crazy. We’re not a team that’s used to losing. It’s not acceptable around here. (The crowd) is extremely important. We feed off the fan base. They get us excited for the game. That’s the true definition of a fan, someone who is there when times are tough.”

Junior S Eric Reid on having a sense of urgency: “ Oh yeah, I think so, you’ve got to be urgent at any point, even if you’re undefeated. You can lose at any point. It’s obvious. We’re going to practice hard this week and just play football.”

Sophomore WR Jarvis Landry on the passing game struggles: “I just think it’s the carryover. We’ve got to continue to try to carry over the things we do in practice. In games, we start really fast, and as we get closer to halftime, we kind of slow down.”

LSU Junior LB Kevin Minter on the team’s attitude: “Just refocus. Keep everything that’s not going to help us win, the distractions and stuff, outside. We have to get back to what we do which is winning.”

Minter on USC RB Marcus Lattimore: “I can’t wait to go against this guy. He’s one of the best backs in the SEC, in the country. It’ll be great competition. South Carolina, they’re such an incredible team. If we win this game, it gives us a little momentum going into the rest of the season.”

Junior DE Sam Montgomery on playing South Carolina: “I’m from South Carolina, so it’s a big thing for them coming to play me. I grew up with them and I know who all of them are. I love them to death. So this is going to be just like playing against family. And that’s why I think this is going to be the best game I’ve ever played because there’s so much affection on the field.”

Montgomery on Lattimore: “Lattimore needs to be respected. He’s very quick and makes a lot of cuts. You have to break down, move your feet a lot and be ready to move to a spot. Also, their quarterback is very mobile. So you can’t just sit and have stone feet on these guys you have to move around and get to them.”
