Junior Quarterback Zach Mettenberger on the offense: “We still haven’t played our best game as an offense. We still have a lot to work on, and that showed in the Auburn game. We still have a long way to go to be the offense we want to be.”
Senior Defensive End Lavar Edwards on the penalties: “We just have to be smarter about the situation. I know, the penalty I had, I could have been a little smarter. You have to try not to retaliate. Usually the person who goes last gets caught.”
Junior Defensive End Barkevious Mingo on the Auburn win: “It was definitely a wake up call. It shows us that we have to come out with our “A Game” every Saturday. We can’t just rely on our talent to get us through games. We have to go out and execute our plays and dominate opponents.”
Mingo on this week: “We went out there (Monday and Tuesday), and we just focused on running everything the way it’s supposed to be run, full speed, 100 percent. Everybody executed their assignments and got everything done.”
Mingo on his ankle injury: “I think I’m 100 percent now. I had a back week last week, so I took a week off for the Idaho week. It’s coming along, and I’m pretty much 100 percent.”
Junior Linebacker Luke Muncie on Towson: “It’s always awesome to go out and play in Tiger Stadium. Towson, we haven’t seen much of them, they basically just run a bunch of powers.”
